Pricing a Regular Cleaning should not feel like negotiating a used-car deal. You tell us the size of your home, how often you want us there, and any extras you need. We give you a clear number — the same number you pay, every visit, no surprises. This guide walks through exactly what that number is based on, so when you get a quote from us or anyone else, you know what to look for and what to ask. We have been cleaning homes in New York and California long enough that we can tell you what is fair and what is not.
What a Regular Cleaning quote actually includes
A Regular Cleaning quote is built on a few simple inputs. Square footage is the biggest one — more space means more time, and time is the main cost. Number of bedrooms and bathrooms matters because bathrooms need more detailed work per square foot than a living room does. Frequency matters because recurring clients pay less per visit than one-time clients — the team can plan the route, the schedule, and the supplies more efficiently when you come back every two weeks.
Every quote from 3 Sisters Services lists what is included by default: dusting and wiping all reachable surfaces, vacuuming and mopping all floors, cleaning and sanitizing all bathrooms, cleaning the kitchen including countertops, sink, stovetop, and exterior of appliances, taking out trash, and making beds if linens are available. Everything else is an add-on, and add-ons are listed separately so there are no surprises.
Frequency and what it means for your wallet
Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly — each option changes the quote because the job changes. A home cleaned every week stays consistently tidy, so each visit is lighter. A home cleaned once a month has more dust, more fingerprints, more bathrooms that need real scrubbing. The cost per visit goes down as frequency goes up, but the monthly total is what most families actually budget around.
Bi-weekly is the sweet spot for most of our clients. It keeps the home presentable without the cost of weekly visits. That is especially true in New York City apartments where space is tight and dust settles fast. If you are not sure what frequency fits your home and budget, look at our Regular Cleaning page or call (657) 737-7171 — we can recommend based on homes like yours.
Add-ons — what costs extra and why
Add-ons are things we do not include in the base Regular Cleaning because not every home needs them every visit. Inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, inside cabinets, window washing, inside the dishwasher, and laundry service are the most common ones. Each add-on has a flat fee that is listed on your quote before you ever confirm the booking. No one springs an extra charge on you after the cleaning is done.
The base cleaning is designed to be thorough but fast so the team can move on to the next home on the route. Add-ons are the items that take extra time — scrubbing baked-on grease in the oven, sorting through fridge shelves, washing windows inside and out. If you want certain add-ons rotated every few visits, tell us at booking and we set a reminder in the system so it happens without you having to ask each time.
Pricing differences between NYC and California
Cleaning costs are not the same in every market. In New York City — Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens — overhead is higher. Parking for the team vehicle, tolls, building access logistics, and the general cost of running a business in the five boroughs all factor into the quote. In California, the rates reflect different costs: drive time between homes, parking availability in San Francisco versus the East Bay, and the local minimum wage.
We do not hide behind market adjustments or fine-print surcharges. Our quote states the price, the frequency discount, and any add-on costs in plain language. If you live in a walk-up in Brooklyn, we account for the stairs in the route planning — not in the price. See our FAQ page for the common pricing questions clients ask, or send your home details through the booking form for a quote specific to your address.
The one question you should ask before booking
When you are comparing quotes from different cleaning companies, ask this: Is that the final price you charge, or is there a travel fee, a booking fee, or a surcharge for my borough? The answer tells you everything about how the company handles pricing. Some companies advertise a low base rate and then add travel surcharges, weekend fees, equipment fees, or parking fees that push the real price forty to fifty percent higher than advertised. Others — us included — quote the real price up front.
Honest pricing means you see the number, you agree to it, and that is the number on your card after the cleaning. If you have questions about how we price homes in your area, call (657) 737-7171 and ask. We answer the phone Monday through Saturday, and we give straight answers.
